Food Innovation Product Award 2016

The Food Innovation Product Award (FIPA) 2016 (July to October) brought together food manufacturers and tertiary students to collaborate and co-create new, innovative food products. Embracing new ways to create innovative products can be a great asset and advantage in driving business growth.
Deepening partnerships between industry players and schools will attract fresh talent to join the industry and enable its sustainability. This competition took the combined teams of food manufacturers and students through a full cycle of innovation – from conceptualisation, to prototyping and testing, to marketing validation.

Why You Should Join

Food Manufacturers

Food manufacturers got the chance to give their business a competitive edge with a ground-breaking product, and extend their product innovation capability beyond the current product development process. Beyond the competition, SPRING Singapore announced their support to help food manufacturers commercialise the product to take it beyond Singapore!

Students

Students had the opportunity to turn their great idea into a real commercial product, and get a first-hand look into a product development and innovation process. This was their chance to build their technical and business knowledge through working with mentors and industry partners.

The top prototypes won cash prizes, and were acknowledged at an award ceremony and exhibited in a showcase at the Asia Pacific Food Expo 2016.
